Imagine the days of pirates, buccaneers, bloodshed and larceny are over. It is the 1700s and the Baymen have established a small society in Belize. Interest has turned from the logwood once harvested for its dyes, to the hardwoods of the virgin forests.

By 1862 When British Honduras, (as Belize was once called), was officially recognized as a British Crown Colony, mahogany had become the crux of the country’s early colonial future.

The Mahogany remains the common thread of Warrie Head Ranch & Lodge, reflected in the beauty and warmth of the authentic antique furniture. Including four-posters, rocking chairs and the hidden charms of a thunder box, Warrie Head houses one of the largest single colonial collections in Belize for you to enjoy. Each of the 10 cozy guestrooms is unique decorated with countrywide linens made within the village.

Within the grounds by the Pit Pan Bar, exhibits such as the Fowler Steam Engine, and Sugar Mill have their own story to tell. Or you may wish to browse our library inside the main house for tales of our history and culture.

Warrie Head Ranch & Lodge you’re a guest of the family. The home cooked meals utilize many of the fruits and vegetables from the farm and are served buffet style in the screened verandah dining room overlooking the gardens. Reflecting the cultural mix within Belize's historical development, you can help yourself to selected Creole, English, Spanish and American dishes.

Warrie Head is the only resort in Belize which provides a glimpse into the colonial history of the country in idyllic natural surroundings. It is the perfect setting for couples, families, weddings, private groups and functions.
