Marshlands Inn is one of Canada's finest Heritage Inns. Located in Sackville, New Brunswick less than a km from the Trans Canada Higway (#2). The inn features 20 rooms decorated in period antiques with a variety of bed configuarations to suit most travellers. Rooms have private ensuite baths and bed configurations including one single, one double, a queen, a king and a number of rooms have two beds. An impressive list of notables have visited Marshlands Inn, including Queen Elizabeth II.
Our elegant licenced fine dining room can seat 80 people and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our menu features local specialties and seafood. We make our own bread, rolls and jams. Our full menu can be reviewed on our web site. An international selection of quality wines compliments our dinner menu.
Extensive gardens in the back yard are welcoming for a walk or a relaxing place to sit and enjoy a quiet moment or read a good book. You may even meet one of our cooks collecting herbs, floweres or vegetables for your dining pleasure in the evening. The gardens also overlook the beautiful Tantramar Marshlands.
Sackville is the home of Mount Allison University, one of Canada's top undergraduate universities. Sackville is at the crossroads of art, history and nature. The award winning Waterfowl Park is a short walk from Marshlands Inn. The region has a rich history dating back to the first Acadian settlers from France and subsequent immigrations from the United States and Yorkshire Couny in England. Cultural activities include live theatre, art galleries and music performances from local and professional entertainers.
