Smiley Getaway
We do have hotel rooms available on most dates if you call ten days in advance.

Each room has a private bathroom (shower), double bed and a smattering of antiques. There are no TVs, phones or courtesy bars. We do, however, have the oldest continuously operating saloon in the State of California just down the walkway with superb live entertainment Friday, Saturday and Sunday, two excellent restaurants within a stones throw, the Bolinas Lagoon and Pacific Flyway around the corner and the entire Pacific Ocean just three minutes walk from your door.

We don’t have a casino or slot machines, but if you’d like to take a risk—feel like gambling—try turning your back on the ocean in a storm and see if a giant sneaker wave sweeps you off the beach and into the deep.

Winter storms from the Northwest leave the beach windswept and lonely—a perfect time for a private walk or an adventure.

Summertime: Great sunning and surfing on the beach, surfboard rentals, hikes into the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, horseback riding 10 minutes away, and kayak rentals across the lagoon in Stinson Beach.

Of course the best times of the year in West Marin are Fall and Spring.
